Explain gaps in employment as personal choice, vacation, or time off to help with a family situation. I would not voice your weakness to no one. They will take advantage of it. What they can ask your prior employer for a reference check is very strict and narrow, like start date, ending date, will they rehire. If it comes up about not rehiring or too many sick days, explain there was major family events going on at this time and could not be avoided. Choose to work only three 12 hours per week and maybe requesting not to be schedule all three at one time. Take breaks off between assignments. Just take it easy. And do not give them any information that can be used against you in getting less of a deal than you deserve. Call Health Specialists or Praestar and take a position that is paying 35/hour or more with housing and enjoy your days off.
