I am doing a report on Pediatric Nursing. I am in my senior year of high school and would love to go into this field of nursing. But I need some help. If you can answer any of the questions below please email me at Amberlynn63935@yahoo.com
What is the education required to become a pediatric nurse?
What is the cost of going to nursing school?
How many years of school are required?
What kind of degree?
What is the range on the salary?
I am wanting to work with newborns so mabey that will help you answer my questions.
Thank you so much for helping me out.
if you want to work with newborns then you probably want nursery instead of peds.
Education: basic nursing school for basic nursing that covers all nursing you don't get just one thing in nursing school plus the core corses
Cost: depends on the school it's college so you can get grants and scholarships but public schools are in general cheaper the private ones
School years: depends on what kind of degree you want you can got 2 or more years depending on the degree and if you go full or part time
Degree: ADN (2 year) BSN (4 year) then you can also get MSN and doctorate in nursing just depends on what you want
Salary: again depends on the area of the country you are in. There are some references here as to salary around the country to compare
You can also get certification in certain areas after you have worked a number of hours there and taken more tests. You need to talk to you school counselor and visit colleges that interest you to see what they offer and require.
Hi. I am also a senior in high school and needing some help on a research paper i am currently writing. The paper is called "when I grow up" and I have to interview someone who is doing the same profession that i am wanting to get into. I am looking to be an RN. But I want to work in the delivery room or nursery.
