    Nursing shortage over? Hardly (Minnesota)

I've got a feeling this reporter's going to wish she had done more research before publishing this story. . .

Nursing shortage over? Hardly, MONICA VOLLMUTH:"As a result of a recent Pioneer Press article ("Nursing grads wait for work," Aug. 22), the Minnesota Nurses Association has received numerous calls and comments expressing surprise that the nursing shortage appears to be over in Minnesota. Indeed, Yahoo News picked up the story nationally and ran it with the headline "Minnesota Faces Overcrowding in Nursing Field."
Although reporter Julie Forster documented statistics indicating the future deepening of the shortage, many readers gained the assumption that nursing jobs were no longer available in Minnesota and pursuing a career in nursing would be fruitless."
