    Question Re Certification

I was just wondering, I am taking a cna class in Rhode Island which means I will be certified in RI. What happens if I want to get a job in Massachusetts? Do I have to get a seperate certification for the state of MA or does my cert from RI count?

    Re: Question Re Certification

If you already are Licensed, Certified, Registered or State Approved in your own State and want to move to another state, you will need to request reciprocity. This means that you are asking the new state to recognize the approval you received from your home state. Contact the State registry in your home state and request a "Application for Enrollment By Reciprocity". Ask them if you should send the completed form to them or to the state to which you are moving.

    Re: Question Re Certification

The State Forums have contact information for the Nursing Boards. Perhaps if you contact them, they can direct you to whomever deals with the CNA stuff.
