Good luck, Ferron! Gawd, I remember trying to work/go to school/pay bills, etc; I loved being an LPN, but boss had given me a kick to go on for my RN.

Hi. I'm an LPN, attended the program 2weeks after graduating H.S. 10yrs ago. I've worked in LTC, Acute care, homecare, adults-peds. Currently I work for Bayada Pediatrics. I miss the hospital setting. I've been working on completing the RN program for the past few years, difficult, when you have to work F.T and raise a family. I'm almost done via Excelsior College. I've completed up to Nsg Concepts 5. I have to take Nsg Concepts 6, Foundations and Microbiology, all scheduled for this month, wish me luck.

Ferron2006 - Welcome! Yes, raising children, working full-time, and going to college is tough. However, IT CAN BE DONE!
As a single-parent [with two sons], working full-time as a Certified Surg Tech I completed an ADN program. Then, several years later after my sons were out of high school I completed an RN-BSN program while working full-time as an ADN, plus a member of the USAR Army Nurse Corps.
