Just a short intro -- I'm a Native Texan born-n-raised in Corpus Christi; former U.S. Marine; worked for over 30 years in Houston as an Electrical Engineer ... retired from the industry and re-located to Tucson in 2001.
I run an on-line Travel Agency and work from home doing Custom Business Cards and a Professional Webmaster for over 13 years, of which the info is in my profile ... looking forward to communicating with many of you.

Thanks for the Welcome -- yes; you're always a "Former Marine" as there is no such thing as an "Ex Marine" ... okay MagRedC5; here's a pic of when I wore the Smokey on the Grinder at San Diego "a few years back" -- I'm the mean one on
your right :)

Hello Travelagent [Marine Veteran],
You look like a lean, mean, fighting machine.
Here I am, July 18, 1980 at MCRD San Diego;

LOL MagRedC5 -- you have that look ... "Hurry up with the pic, so I can take these Blues off!"
1980, huh? My combat boots are older than you...heh heh heh...
Semper Fi, Marine... :)
Hi and welcome. Glad to be joining you here. I love your military pic.

IMHO, it's about time you buy some new combat boots! Nowadays we don't spit shine the boots. ;)

Huh? I just brush them off & put'em on. ;)

Welcome aboard Michelle -- what do you love about my military pic? :)

That's the problem with you "shower-shoes" today; y'all are too lazy to do the old-fashioned spit shine, so that I can look down and shave while standing! :D

Your Dad and I would get along very well, as I've been out of the Corps almost 40 years!
You've been out almost as long as I have been around! Gawd, the stories my dad would tell me. Woulda made a good Drill Sargent. Oh, well; now I gotta deal with a JROTC grad (husband). Yeesh!

Hey all, since I found at least one in the Tucson area, I decided to jump into the party :) Anyhow, headed towards tucson at begining of new year and looking for some housing for a Traveling RN. Any Suggestions would be a great help. Thought about taking the given houseing per traveling company. Although, I thought i would check out the options, and/or any other input i might be able to find prior to making my final decision.
Thanks for your time.

Welcome Cameron! Check out the Travel Nursing Forum for related info.
Post often!
Hello. I am from Kansas but now live and work in Tucson, AZ.
I still like sunflowers! M/S nurse; began traveling; Tucson first assignment and I LOVE it!! No more snow, not as much wind.
Have you always lived in Tucson?:luck:
Hi cameron!
The travel companies usually get gated housing here in Tucson, on the north side. Close to main roads. A man from another state always chose his own housing and was able to save the rest of the allowance given by his company. It depends--do you want to spend your off time looking for housing, or going around the scenic, historic area?:luck: He was able to do both!!
