We don't normally give advice, but there IS a 'bug' going around. I would also think Pyloric Valve stenosis, if the vomit is projectile. If baby is sleeping, perhaps he is sleeping it off.

So at about 10pm or so ago my husband and I heard our son making noises in his crib I went in to check on him and he was covered in vomit as well as his bed so hubby and I took him out of the bed gave him a bath and I called the pediatrician. While waiting for the pediatrician to call I checked his temp and it was normal then just as the pediatrician called he began vomiting again. The pediatrician said it was a stomach bug most likely which has been going around she said to keep hydrated and watch his temp. Well after the second bout of vomiting we gave him another bath and gave him a little water then some pedialyte he only had a little because he refuse to drink anymore and he just wanted to go back to sleep that is where he is now sleeping in his crib. I am worried that I didn't get enough fluids in him. What do you all think? I don't want to wake him and force him to drink especially now that he hasn't vomited in a few hours nor, knock on wood, had any diarrhea.

Thanks for replying cougarnurse. Sorry I didn't realize that you don't normally give advice on medical issues I probably should have read more about the guidelines I have been just so worried that I have asking everyone for some advice. Can you tell I am a first time mom. One more question if nobody mines but should he have formula right now. He has not vomited since last night but my hubby gave him formula this am and he just had diarrhea a short time ago.
When baby is sick it's especially tuff for first time moms you sort of learn by trial and error what to do. The general rule for vomiting and diarrhea is clear liquid for 24 hours followed by gradual introduction of solids. If the baby kept the formula down it's probably ok. For diarrhea plain yogurt, mashed bananas,
oatmeal, dry toast etc. Always follow the advice of your pediatrician and maintain open communication. If the vomiting continues go to the ER. PS make sure the baby is sleeping on his side so that any vomit drains from the mouth.

I might suggest a book called "What to expect during the first year" a
It's a practical easy to read book that covers most subjects, diet, illness, developmental milestones etc.... It's available on Amazon for less than $10.00.
I found it very helpful

Sorry my son is 11 and 1/2 months old.
TJ was up at 3am vomiting and then again at 6am he vomited and he has been inconsolable. I paged the doc again and at this point they want us to come in and have TJ checked out for dehyradation. I am so freaked out right now I am just besides myself.
