Dear nurses and students,
I am seeking the help of a private tutor for the Nclex exam. I have taken the exam without success of passing. I am in desperate need to find a tutor in Michigan, preferrably the Ann Arbor area. Please help.
Thanks, LisaB.

I recently took the Nclex and passed after 75 questions. At first I thought that it shut down because I had failed miserably, but I guess all that studying paid off.

I have started a blog about the Nclex exam and the Visa screen process as I am looking to move from Canada to the US this year. I would be more than happy to provide any help. Check out my blog (link is in my address) and leave me some comments. I'll help out as best as I can.

Start with just doing practice questions. The key is understand the questions. Understand why the answer is right or wrong.

I will be a mentor when I can if someone needs/wants one. No charge.

Do you still need Live NCLEX RN or PN Review in NJ? There is one starting in Union, NJ April 27 to May1, 2009. Contact 908-688-8184. The pre- registration closes today 4/17/09 but additional fees may be waived. If your goal is to pass the exam this time around, then contact the review center. Strategies that will help you pass will be presented live. The best book I recommend for candidates is Sandra Smith or Mary Ann Hogan NCLEX Review. You may also consider Lopez Review in NJ. This is not an advert please.

I am looking for a nursing student who is almost finished with his/her studies, and ready for the NCLEX (or has already passed the HESI / NCLEX exam).

I am looking for an "online tutor". Someone who can help me with my nursing questions. Am ready to pay.

If you feel like you can use some extra money, and want to do some work flexibly from your home, send me an email at hesiguide@gmail.com

Thank you!

Why do you need a tutor? If you need some help, try on your own first, why? because when you take the exam there is no tutor, you are on your own. :) You can do it. Good luck!

To MICU-RN #8:

Hello there are you still available for questions about taking the NCLEX exam? I too have taken it before without success and am now looking to take it again. What is the best advice you can give me?

Also does anyone know of any private tutor nurses who would be willing to coach for the NCLEX? I am looking for one in Cleveland, Ohio.

Thanks! Hope to hear something soon!

Dear NCLEX candidates:

The best preparation for this exam is practice. Get ANY NCLEX book, I used Barron's but they all have practice CDs, and take an exam FIRST- they all have several, BEFORE using the study guide. When you score the exam you will find your weak areas and one of the most effective study techniques is to immediately review the incorrectly answered questions and their rationales. THEN go to the study guide and concentrate on those weak areas. When you feel you're ready, take another exam and repeat the process of review. Be warned: Blindly studying everything is inefficient because you spend time reviewing things that you're ALREADY solid on which increases anxiety and wastes time. By the time you take all of the practice questions you will feel pretty confident and definitely be ready for the NCLEX.

Good luck,

R
