    Smile resume

Need help fast. I did private duty for one year and my neighbor hired me to take care of her mom. Since I wasn't hired by a company what should I put in the place where the company name normally would go? Should I put the name of the person who hired me? If anyone could help I would appreciate it .:

First, for which type of job are you applying? Med/Surg PCU what? You really need to tailor the resume when you have been on your own for awhile. I would make up a company name for your own company and then state you where self employed. Then you can use the person you worked for as a reference. When a future employer checks your previous work history, the previous work place is only supposed to answer a few simple questions.Such as:
    Was _______ an employee there/
Did _______ come to work on time?
Would you hire________ again?( this is code for were they fired)
You also need to emphasize your previous work with other emplyers on your resume and in any interviews. The interviewer wants to know how well you will fit and if you can do the job for which you are applying.
