Hi. I am also prior Marine. I have been out since 2005 and have one more semester left of Nursing school before earning my BSN. I am highly considering going back in the military as an RN. I really miss the military lifestyle. I would like to work on Marine Corps side of the Navy. Do you have to request that or is it just part of getting assigned to a duty station. I would like to get stationed in Southern California, as my home of residence is Las Vegas.. Do they work with you on duty station preferences or do they really send you where u are needed. I see you have been only been with Marine Corps (is that by choice?) I looked at other branches of service but somehow keep drawing back to Navy... I guess it's the Marine in me..... I wanna be able to wear all my ribbons and medals that I received in Marine Corps too... Well let me stop babbling and wait for a response. Thanks Kim

    Hello Kim ,

Your best bet is to hear from narref since your inquiry relates to Navy nursing.

BTW, I don't consider myself only a Marine. Besides, I've been an Army nurse since 2003.
