As a nurse, I learnt to deal with so many situations that if I were to describe them, a book of 1000 pages may not cover all of them.

The evolution of nursing has taken the profession from a quasi-servant female job to multi tasking males and females dealing with issues that only MD's had access to in years past. One of them, is Flight Nursing.

As a flight corpsman in the Navy, to a Senior Medic Instructor in the Army...to being the proud owner of an air ambulance provider, to being an international trainer and developer of EMS and aeromedical rescues, I have taken the skills learnt along the way, and created a system of aeromedical education to the Police and armed forces in Latin america; thanks to my bilingual skills, this program has been very successful.

Nursing, gave me the backbone...the armed forces the skills and the ideas to improve on a good thing, but the examples in my family and their support, were the guiding light in my formation as a professional.

I am proud of the nurses who put their lives on the line....or who care for those in home care...the gamut of services that now, is Nursing.
