yes im actually at southern illinois university in carbondale. Southern Illinois is a whole other state compared to the north and vice versa
Many say that 'Southern' Illinois is anything south of I-80. Guess that makes my folks part Southern.Actually, I have always considered anything south of Watseka 'starting to get there'.
