I recently received a DWI, first offense, and will be applying to take the State Board in La. Does anyone know about laws regarding licensure and DWI's. Even if it is not in Louisiana where you particularly practice.
In Florida, You would have to disclose to the Board of Nsg your DWI on your application, and whatever the disposition was (fine, probation, whatever), with proof that you completed whatever the court required. Then you would have to have an evaluation by the IPN (Impaired Nurse Program) and given an OK from them before you can take the Boards.
