NEW GRAD 4.0....METRO DENVER OR TRAVELING JOBS???

I am a new grad...top of my class (or at least real close )...tons of previous medical experience along with life experience including the Peace Corps and international pursuits. This BSN from this accelerated program when I graduate in May will become my second degree...the first was pre-med...etc. I have taken on many challanges in my life and now...

MY QUESTIONS...IS THERE ANY TRAVELING NURSE OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW GRADS?

HOW ABOUT JOBS FOR NEW GRADS IN METRO DENVER, PREFERABLY ICU?

    Sincerely,

    Jason Speaks

I'm not actually a nurse yet, or even in nursing school, but I've been exploring the career options-and if you type "Travel Nursing" into a search engine (I used Google) you get plenty of companies come up. I can't judge their authenticity, but I know that plenty of them said they were happy to have new grads.

    Hello Jason,

As a new graduate hospitals will not accept you for traveler assignments.

For the amount of money they pay for travel nurses (they are very expensive to hospitals) they want nurses that are experienced and ready to work without excessive supervision.

As a new graduate, that doesn't describe you. I'd work for a year or two in a med/surg or critical care hospital unit. Once you have that experience under your belt, there should be plenty of opportunities.

New grads welcome from a travel agency, usually means they are recruiting for hospitals where you can easily find a permanent job in understaffed areas that will train you.
