To me, parading around like that is representing yourself as a nurse, be it RN or LPN, and I don't think it's right. Regardless of whether or not she is practicing as a nurse without a license, she (and everyone else who does these things) is purposefully giving the impression to the general public that they are a nurse.
Why? Because nursing is one of the most respected professional roles. I take serious offense to someone misrepresenting themselves as a nurse because people who do that sully the standard of professionalism that nurse's have achieved.
I don't see anything wrong with reprimanding someone who calls themselves a nurse without the license to back it up.
What is the point of wearing a nursing tee-shirt or having a nursing bag? To proclaim yourself as a nurse and therefore worthy of respect.
Just something to think about though, how often do you ever see real nurses carrying around that crap?
