Could somebody tell me what department or what the person's name title is that I would need to contact in order to give a talk to nurses on Autism? I know that nurses were not taught much at all about Autism in nursing school and I would like to change that.

80% of my book "Joys and Sorrows of Living with Adult Autism" covers my sweet dear autistic husband's encounters with doctors, nurses, and hospitals. Some of these situations were not good because of lack of knowledge! If you know of any nursing group or organization that would be interested in learning more about Autism I would love to share my knowledge with them.

Hi Bertha,

I would start out by contacting some of the Community College nursing programs. They are always eager for speakers. University nursing programs could also be a possibility. From there you could network out.

Good Luck,

Mike
