    Private Contracting

Some of you have eluded to taking temporary travel assignments without the use of an agency. Just curious how you do this. Do you just approach a clinic and say I'm available for X time and I charge this amount for my services? Also, I've been a dialysis nurse for 7 years and I'm bored to death. Any thoughts for re-energizing my attitude? I'm just about to quit and go do something else but not sure what that would be. I live in Montana and the pay sucks but have kids in school so can't leave. May go do a cruise just for a change of scene. Any other ideas?

    Hi,
You can do an internet search for "travel nursing" and indicate that dialysis is your specialty. Usually the assignments are greater than 50 miles from your home to get the "travel nurse" benefits. Dialysis companies contact these agencies when they are short staffed and need help. I hope this helps.
