    Nursing Student Tips

    Hello everyone,

I am starting nursing school for LPN in the Fall. I am getting ready to take the NET test. I hear the math is hard. Is there any math I need to study more? Also any tips on what to expect as a new nursing student would be appreciated. Honest anything will help

    Thanks everyone!
(Nervous) but excited, soon to be nursing student.

    Re: Nursing Student Tips

I am in the exact situation as you, so am happy to share some tips I am using. First, I would buy the official NET Study Guide. I bought mine from the college bookstore, but found out it was much cheaper through the Educational Resources, Inc. website (it's the company that wrote the NET). Also, I confirmed with nursing students at my prospective school that the using the NET Study Guide was the best way to make a good grade and to familiarize yourself with the test. Secondly, you might try www.math.com to reinforce your math skills. The site has tutorials and quizzes that are good. Hope this info helps you. I take my test in @ two weeks, so I pray the studying pays off. Good luck to you on the NET!!!

Conversions, addition, subtraction, division was a lot of the math I did last yr (first yr) with a little ratios and percentages. Also make sure you comfortable working w/ fractions.

Lots of reading involved, organise your note effectively - and you'll be fine! Good luck.
