I have a kilt I used to wear it all the time in highschool, it still fits I think its time to dig it back out of the closet.
If you're ever in west central Florida, visit Dunedin. The local high school band has a pipe & drum corps..kilts and all. They are awesome!
Check them out, along with info on the annual games in April:

I am surprised that nobody has posted a link to Utilikilts!
UTILIKILTS : American Made Utility Kilts for Everyday Wear
I have a Survival model in olive drab, and love to wear it as much as possible. Get lots of great comments, mostly from women seems like. And it is a sure fire way to start up a conversation!
Update ... I finally worked at a facility that "allowed" me to wear my kilt on my last night of work. I enjoyed my unbifurcated freedom. Thanks for the support and see you at the next festival.
First off, were they a nice enough place where you didn't have to flash 'em? And did you wear the thing traditional or regimental?
I live in Tucson now, but I am from So. Cal (the OC) been in Arizona for 3 years now. Back in California I played for the 42nd Highlanders Regimental Pipes & Drums. We wear the Black Watch tartan. Our home base is the Queen Mary, moored in Long Beach, Ca. We would meet for practice and play every tuesday on the ship. I also belong to Clan Fergusson. I love wearing my kilt, if I could I would wear it all the time. By the way, musically speaking, the group Bad Haggis is amazing. The leader, Eric Rigler is the piper that played for the movies Braveheart and Titanic. Its a fusion of celtic, funk and rock. Check it out. Also, The Wicked Tinkers are pretty cool. -John
Nice enough indeed... Nothing under the kilt but my socks and it is all in working order.
furgas13-- ^5 outstanding love to hear of others carrying tradition.
Furgas....you do re-enacting? If so, I may have run into ya at one time or another.
