I took the NCLEX exam awhile back. I am a Canadian that moved to Texas 9 years ago.
I hate to burst your bubble, but if you want to practice here the fact that your wife is American doesn't help you. You'll still have to jump through immigrations hoops. I got caught in the changing regulations for immigrant health care workers and it took me over 4 years to get my green card.

As for the NCLEX exam, mine was computerized and asked just about every topic it could from dosage calculation to labor & delivery to cardiac signs and symptoms. There are plenty of studying material online if you do a search.
