Nursing is a huge part of my life. I had worked as a carer and enjoyed helping people so much and I could not imagine doing anything else. So I started uni to do my nursing degree and have never been happier! I now work as a practice nurse in a GP surgery so I do miss the more intimate care, but I have certainly built up good rapport with the patients I see now. The role of the nurse is ever evolving, but I feel the fundamentals remain the same - nurses care!
