Hi I am an LPN in Oregon and am looking to move to Arizona.

How can I get my licence to work in Arizona?
Do I have to retake the NCLEX?

I read on the ASBN site that if you are from a particular state, your licence can transfer. Unfortuantly Oregon is not one of these states.
So....what the heck is the next step?
Is there a number I can contact?
Thank you!

Hi, lostbluedot, and welcome to the site! Whereas there are Compact States (I posted the list somewhere!), the best bet to get ahold of the Arizona BON is here: http://www.ultimatenurse.com/forum/f54/
No, you do NOT have to re-take the NCLEX. Please be sure to follow the steps mentioned.

you apply to that state nursing state board for endorsement license-- to be added to your license allowing you to work in that specific state--each state have their own endorsement license fees that you have to pay --from as low as $75 for GA --to over $200 for NY--the process can take from 4-8 weeks--because they have to verify your present license, etc.
