Keep your head up and don't get discourged! Get all of the pre-req's done and try again. I will start my pre-req's in may and RN is what I want. I won't beable to apply until spring 07' Long time from now but it will worth it.
Good luck
Hello, My name is Amy and I am new to this site and board. I am currently attending a local university as a Pre-Nursing Student with the hopes of starting the ADN Program this fall. I have also recently taken the NLN Entrance Exam, which I scored a 98 cummulative score on. This is the last one offered before the fall semester.
I just got the bad news that my scores from the test were not high enough and I am not being granted admission into the ADN program in the fall.
I am so disappointed...I gave up a job and have spent one semester doing my Gen-Ed courses in preparation for this.
I am now faced with the reality of attending LPN school and getting my feet wet and then going on for my RN-not what I really want to do. I wanted to do my RN from the start.
Thanks.

Hello Amy,
I'd also see what other nursing programs are available nearby. You'll find that waiting lists are becoming more and more common. You may need to apply to several and then take whichever has an opening first.
The nursing faculty shortage and budget cuts are making nursing slots harder to come by.
Wish you luck.
