Nera, welcome!
It was in 1990 when I took the entrance exam for LPN school. I remember the test being closely related to some IQ test.
The best advice I can give is contact various school and find out what their requirements are. Stay positive.
Hello,
I am new to this forum and I would be so grateful if someone would help me out in obtaining information about LPN entrance exams.
I've always wanted to be a nurse but haven't had the opportunity to study nursing. Now I am seriously considering a career change and want to become a Nurse Practitioner. I wanted to begin with an LPN diploma and work my way up.
I must add that I am currently living ooutside of USA but I am supposed to move to either to NY or Florida with my husband who is expecting to obtain a Fellowship position in either one of these states beginning Summer 2009.
So I wanted to get ahead and start studying for the LPN entrance exam. But I am really confused about LPN entrance exams. I've made some research in order to buy textbooks but looks like there are diferent tests: PAX-PN from NLN, NET (on your site I also saw people mentioning HESI and TEAS) and I am not sure which one to start preparing.
How do I know which test is the right one?
Please let me know if you have any information. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it.
Hey, I graduated from LPN school in 2003 in Indiana. The test we took was called the TEAS test. There is a book you can buy that could help you study for it, however it is really just a basic test. There are 4 parts: Math, English, Spelling and story problems. It really is a simple test. I think you will do just fine. Congratulations on your future endeavors!
