May 1, 2005: North Carolina: Sharp-Eyed N.C. Nurse Helps Save Man:"All Steve Brown wanted Minnie Bullins to do was buy a vacuum cleaner. Instead, she saved his life. Now a billboard in Danbury acknowledges the debt that the vacuum cleaner salesman owes to the retired nurse, whose concern for a stranger led Brown to the doctors who discovered he had cancer. Bullins, who lives in Danbury, needed help buying a vacuum a year ago. She arranged to meet Brown in a supermarket parking lot in Walnut Cove."

Although most nurses don't expect it, it is nice to see some recognition for using our skills and abilities once in a while.
