    Older nurses if they are not in management or above they are generaly pushed out, discriminated by the young, terminated, and made to feel unwanted.

    This is a loaded statement but may be true if the older nurse does not stay current and manage the same load as his/her contemporaries. I think we can all agree that nursing is a hugely demanding field with little room for people who can't meet the standard.

    You may be correct. That maybe the bases EEOC laws protecting older people, why older people can always teach a youngster a new trick. Know one complains when they are the adminsitrators,or managers. Sorry, I had the opportunity to witness older nurses pushed out of the work place. It happens.
