Do any companies offer flexible scheduling?

I'm strongly considering travel nursing but I have a few questions...one of them is whether or not you can still have flexible scheduling w/ travel nursing or if you are just at the company's will and have to work what they tell you?

You can stipulate that you will only work certain days, but the less flexible you are in regards to scheduling, fewer hospitals will be interested in hiring you as a traveler.... what days you are scheduled to work is not up to the company, it's up to the hospital.

You might try introducing it to the hiring manager in the interview once you feel the interview is going well. Make sure that info gets communicated to all parties and is written clearly in the contract. For instance if the hiring manager is not the unit manager make sure it is clear to the unit manager. Also double checking that they checked their schedules and it is still OK before signing the contract can prevent some severe headaches.
