I have been shopping around for liability insurance but keep finding ones that have a much higher rate for LD nurses. I know someone told me the name of a company they use a while back that didn't have this...but I can't remember it. So, any ideas?
It was helpful. I don't want to see a fellow nurse sued. Or I could have said. Google
I have never had liability ins, but I know that NSO (Professional Liability Insurance for nurses, nursing medical malpractice.) has nursing malpractice insurance for pretty cheap.

I'd say having insurance is much better than NOT having insurance.
CYA, I say.
There is some debate over whether or not having insurance makes you a target for lawsuits...

bmcm1 was asking WHICH insurance might have reasonable premiums for a LD nurse, not WHETHER to get liability insurance. The discussion was off track.
I have started to work for a company that is requiring that I get my own insurance. I too would like to find a source for conparisons of coverage/prices among liability insurance providers.
