    a want-a-be- traveler

In August I finished 1 year of MS. Now I am working in Tele. How much tele experience should I have before starting my travel nursing job? I do have a chance to go into CCU in a couple of months. Should I take the long wait and go into CCU? Is the pay a big diff.? Any help please? Thank you in advance!:33:

    Cool Re: a want-a-be- traveler

Congratulations on finishing your first year. The competition in travel is vast. You have to understand that the majprity of the over 400 companies requires at least 12 months in any modality you have practiced for the last 12 months out of 24. Many states like AZ REQUIRE 2 YEARS or more- Hawaii 18months min. Ca open to 12 months NM- 1 year to 2- CO- prefer 2 years. The door is open but learn and get comfortable. Do not be in a hurry for successs. After all you have proven your success here so far. Many blessings.

Thank you Kim...I just took a new job at a large hospital in Charlotte, NC..CMC. I decided that this will help me advance and I plan on moving up to a critical care unit. This will cause me to delay my travels but this will help in the long run of my career. Thank you again! Susan
