Good morning, all!

It's Friday, of course, but also Black Frday. Anyone thinking of doing any shopping for Christmas? And, are you planning on scaling back on how much you buy? Me, don't even know what to buy half the people over here. *Sigh*

Until later....

For the record, I just want to say, my Fiance' dragged me out to Black Friday, we hit Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Sears, etc. I have seen field amputations, massive head-wounds, and disfigured bodies, but nothing could have prepared me for this.

You walk in the store and little old ladies are staring at your cart like they are going to tackle you, take your stuff, and keep your bottom lip as a trophy. Furthermore, I wanted to just run away, but Kayla decided that it would be nice to go to the electronics, me being a smart man; just listened and followed her like a puppy, BIG MISTAKE!

Two women were fighting over a big screen, which I thought was going to fall off onto their heads, the way they were grabbing at it, the GPS case certainly didn't stand a chance. It was horrible. I went home and have been balled up in a corner crying ever since.

I appreciate the recon report. You have confirmed my fears and will refuse to be subjected to hitting such LZs as Best Buy, Target, or God help me the Mall. However, if my wife & daughter choose to take on such a mission I will keep my cell phone at the hip for standby rapid response.

I hope ya'll had a great Thanksgiving. It was wonderful having my daughter, son & his wife over for an awesome feast cooked by my wife. I found out rather than 2 Jan as the approximate due date the stork my deliver Cooper Lee around 24 Dec. Wow, what a Christmas that would be. It is still hard to believe I'm gonna be a grandpa.

BTW RNmedic TN, I can send you a few PTSD help links if you like ;)

You two are just too much! (Though I'd like to have seen the old lady cat fight....)

I am going to shake my head over this one. :p

Yes, I need some CISD time for sure. Congratulations on your grand-child, that will definately be a great Christmas Present! All the best to you and your family.

Thank God, your back on-line. I feared the worse. I was trying to figure out how to contact either the www chaplain, suicide watch, or at least send you some info-commercials to help with possible withdrawals. ;)

Thanks, for the kind words regards to my upcoming grandpa status. BTW, posted a public msg to your Bio section.

Being a veteran of black Friday (ex-walmart employee) we would pray that we weren't going to be the one to unlock the front doors. They would be lined up so thick that we would have to go in by the loading dock. We would hide behind the first isle to watch the crowd shove and scramble into the store, then run back to our battle stations. i have seen a 80yr old woman sit on top of a computer box, shouting i need a stock man! Only to see her trying to drag it to the front on her own a few mins later. I have seen a grown man lie down on top of a trampoline box just to make sure no one would take it. There have be times that when someone would turn their back from their buggy and someone else would take something out they had been wanting. i love the couple that has the phones that are walkie talkies trying to find each other. Crazy i tell you. :18: But i was sadden to hear about the 34yr old walmart worker that was trampled this year when he opened the doors. kinda of sad:(

Wife & daughter left me at home, which is fine, headed out to do battle at the local Best Buy.

Cat, did you say you wanted a Bud Light lime, or Miller Light? I have both in the frig.

Got a Guinness right at hand. :D

AND I quote Pappy Boyington on this, "Give me a war hero, and I'll show you a drunken bum'. (The whoooole lot of us.)
