We have had that problem in a couple of ambulance services I have worked for. You put your littman up in your rig and all the sudden it is gone. Now, a stethoscope I can understand why someone in the profession would want to steal them, but what is the deal with everyone wanting to steal oxygen masks, BVM's, Et Tubes, and EMT Scissors? lol.
Btw, cougar--did I ever tell you that you are my hero:banana::cool-nurse::banana:?

~I Battle the Angel of Death 40 hours a week. What do you do? ~Author Unknown~
I will never understand what drives some people to do the things they do. I imagine that there is an EMT somewhere with about 20 Trauma Kits under his bed, packed with ET Tubes, 2x2's, 4x4's, PTL/Combi, etc. Oh, and 4 stretchers leaned against his wall for him to sit on as he sits by his police scanner awaiting the TennCare taxi to bring him more goodies.

Too funny! :nurse-rofl: Maybe a homeless person on the bed?
Maybe the hospital 'acquired' the bed?
