How to select between two hospitals in illinois?

Hi All,

Firstly - Happy New Year to one and all.
Back in September while i was trying to obtain a nursing license in Illinois, you all were very helpful in sharing information and guiding me.

I am happy to say that i have received my license and i have been subsequently offered a job at two of the state's reputed hospitals. Both are within 25 miles of where i plan to live.

The question is - how do i pick between the two hospitals. I have no friends or contacts in the state of Illinois that can give me personal insights.

If any of you (cougarnurse or someone) are practising as a RN in Illinois, please give me some tips.

The two hospitals are - elmhurst memorial health center (elmhurst, il) and our lady of resurrection (chicago, il).

Hmmmm....Elmhurst or Our Lady.

Elmhurst is not in the city, but in a suburb. Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare
Our Lady ( Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center :: Resurrection Health Care ) is on the North side. Of course, you know about the traffic situation. Depends on that factor for me.

Personally, I would go for Elmhurst. Nearly went to that college (went the LPN route, and got degree at SXU). Of course, I look at the traffic. I live a bit south.

It is a tough call, though.
