Thread: Who goes back this week?

    Who goes back this week?

Tomorrow I start the first semester of my senior year. Classes scheduled are:
    - Critical Care
    - Care of Vulnerable Populations (gerontology and public health nursing)
    - Research I
    - Success IV (nobody knows what goes on here, not even the instructors)

Lol, I should try to be positive but right now I'm seeing a slow motion train wreck that's going to occur over the span of 4 months starting tomorrow.

Lol, until I see what the first week is like for me it looks like what you have going on is far more interesting than what I have to look forward to. How many credit hours is that for you?

Same thing I said last semester about OB, but it wasn't anywhere close to as bad as I thought it would be. I imagined pissed off women screaming, cursing, and throwing things at me but most of the patients were pretty mellow. I found out that I like working with babies a lot more than I thought I would. This is gonna sound kinda lame, but OB was a pretty heart warming experience for me.

I just had OB. Wasn't too bad. The theory instructor was a Nurse Midwife who brought a completely different OB view that what we learned in the hospital. That was the biggest challenge for us.

Offically my semster started last Thursday, but this is our first full week. Here's my class schedule

    Mental Health (first seven weeks)
    Community Nursing 4(14 weeks)
    Peds (second seven weeks)
    Critial Care (Summer I)
    Nursing Management (Summer II)
Barry Manilow didn't write I Write The Songs. Bruce Johnston did.

The nursery was awesome because of the babies, that's a huge statement for me to make because before last semester I didn't want to have anything to do with children. Delivery was really fast paced, very hands on. A lot of monitoring of the mom and incoming baby. Post partum, was well.... uneventful on the two clinical days I was on that side.

Re: Who goes back this week?

I just finished my first week back. My favorite instructor grinned at us and said last semmester was the introduction. This semmester will be a lot more intense. Just what I always wanted to hear! I've got Med Surg, Pharm, OB, and Peds.
