I almost gave up trying to figure out how to reply to a post. I finally figured that I needed to log in LOL.
Here is my question: Have you ever had a recruiter submit your profile to a hospital when you knew for a fact that none of your references had been contacted? This freaks me out. I was told that my resume was all they needed along with my skills list. Does this make sense?

Yeah, it takes a little getting used to doesn't it.
It would worry me if they were in fact not checking references. That doesn't take long to do. If they don't, it won't take long to come back and bite them. There are alot of bad nurses out there. Fortunately, it won't really affect you, but it could cause problems for the company and the hospital.
A company that would submit you without checking references might not be the one you want to travel with. Their reputation is on the line. I'd have to wonder about how much support you'd receive from a company that lax.
