Muskegon Community College nursing graduates are tops during exam time.
According to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, 100 percent of MCC students passed the practical nursing exams on the first try. The success rate for nursing students statewide is 93.66 percent and 85.62 nationally, according to the nursing council's report.

For the registered nurse exam, MCC students scored a 95 percent pass rate compared to 88.19 percent in Michigan and 86.73 percent nationally.

The two licenser examinations are used to test the entry-level nursing competence of candidates for licensure as registered nurses and licensed practical/vocational nurses. The tests are administered by a national test service.
