My company emailed me and said they had and IRS person review their benefits, etc. and told me they can no longer give 100% paid HEALTH INUSRANCE> So now they will pay 75% and Me 25%
I,ve never heard of such a thing, Any comments are welcome
Yes, I am with RN Network and was just told that they are switching to a three-plan system. There is still a free plan, but the coverage is not very good- it get better coverage, I will start having to pay a little for it- it's still pretty cheap, but not free anymore... I have heard of several companies that are now starting to charge for insurance.
Actually there never was free insurance with any company because ultimately it comes out of the bill rate.
I have not heard of any rule about companies not allowed to provide insurance with no premium costs passed on to the employee.
Can the provide a reference to that claim on the IRS website?
Sounds like they are shifting the blame for their own cost cutting.
I've always carried my own insurance and was reimbursed negotiated amounts from the company.

thanks all for the replies.
I think they are shifting the cost. Probably another result of the weak economy and decreased travel accounts.
