Hey a nursing student here graduating in Dec, and trying to soak up as much info and experience from you old timers (don't worry job age). My second career in life (at 43 years young). Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Welcome to the site from 'one of the old timers'. 20 + years in the profession, and I am about your age.

Stop by, de-stress in the Rubber Room, and take a look around the site. Hope you stop by often!

Hey,

At this point you should be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Stick with it :)

Nursing was a second career for me, have no regrets. It has been good to me, let me raise a family, have a life.

It is never too early to start preparing for the NCLEX, it will also help you on your lecture/clinical exams. Visit http://www.nursefriendly.com/nclex/

Hope to see more you, you'll find literally decades of experience in these forums (if not centuries).

Take it easy,

I spent some time in your area years ago; Greenville, and Wills Point, TX. Ever go down to Canton, TX for first Monday shopping?
