Well, since I don't have rent money for July, I guess I'll work for lower wages. You know that saying that beggars can't be choosers. And sure enough, one of the original employers calls today with a shift for Sunday. Yeah, since November, 2 four hour shifts, now this! If it is another 4 hour shift, I'll be tempted to quit! :nurse-butt:

Thanks SN. It sure is a bad situation when we have to take **** just because we need a job so badly. It would be nice to be the one calling the shots about my "career" for once! :crazy1:

How close is the job? And how far did you have to drive for the 4 hour shift?

I do home health so I can be asked to drive all over a service area. For the 4 hour shifts, it was about 23 miles. I was doing them a favor and getting some time in for this year. It was a 10 hour a day case when I had worked it before; then another nurse came back to the case. She quit the case when it went from five ten hour days to four hour days. I don't blame her. I also told the agency that I would have gone there for 10 hour shifts, but no way was I going to drive that far for only 4 hours of pay. :nurse-butt:
