Good morning, everyone! It's the first of September already. You know what that means......

Hope you all are having a decent day thus far. I slept in some. Thank heavens for a day off.

So, what's going on? Anything wonderful?

Boy, was I surprised last night. I was number 13 on the waiting list and got added to the class. He added 13 people. I moved up to number 10 because 3 waiting list people did not show. Now that was unusual. One man was number 1 on the waiting list a year ago and did not get in that time, but got enrolled this time. So somebody else got my number 6 waiting list chance this morning. Hope they were able to add. Well so far that will be the highlight for this week if not the whole month. Off to school again. Have a nice day everyone.:banana::banana:

Good going on the class addition! I was #8, waiting for Med-Surg a few years ago, and said 'Phooey'. I started clinicals a year later, but still grad-u-macated when I expected to.

What all are you taking this semester?

This is my last stab at RN school. I'm retaking the stuff from years ago, yet again. This semester, physiology (the miracle class I got added), english 102, psych 1, psych41 (dev. psy), math, and nutr is online. Will probably end up dropping the math class. I am really not too fired up with this school thing. If I actually were in an RN program doing nursing type stuff, I could get enthused. I've decided though that this really is the last stab at it. Too much wasted time and wasted money over the years. Someone I met at school almost 20 years ago, when she was an LPN just got her NP last year. It really points out how much progress I haven't been making. Oh, well. :nurse-butt:

    Hi Cali,

It sounds as though you are trying to get going with an empty tank. How do you think you will make it through any program without feeling as though you have the stuff needed to do it? It matters not what anyone else has done. What about you? Wrap your head around this and make it happen! We got your back.

Never compare your progress to what others have done. Each person moves at their own pace in life. I didn't go for my RN until I was 37 after years of dead end jobs, an abusive marriage etc... I took those prerecs one at a time one semester at a time. When I finally got into the program I also got married and pregnant - took my finals 5 CM's dilated.

The important thing is your doing it now. Sometimes the maturity we gain along the way makes us better students than we would have been 20 years ago. Congrats and good luck - Your going to do fine.

    Peace and Namaste
