FYI: Deseret News | College gets accreditation

Stevens-Heneger College recently received accreditation for its associate-degree nursing programcare administration and nursing. The programs culminate in associate, bachelor's and master's degrees, allowing the college to contribute fully-degreed nurses to alleviate a growing shortage in the state.

The initial accreditation, awarded by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, is a "significant achievement," said Stevens-Heneger President Vicky Dewsnup. She said that by accrediting the college's program, "the NLNAC has recognized our commitment to the highest standards of nursing education. We are very proud of this achievement."
