I want a career as a nurse. <<str8 to the point>> ;)
I am 17 years old, i have just left school with 11 gcse's grade a-c and AS biology, pe and geography.
Curently i am volunteering at Derriford Hospital working on a ward which i started on 3rd October working every Monday.
I have recenlty received an appy form which i have to fill in by 15th December to be considered for a course in September 06 which is the next available course. (I want to apply for the nursing diploma 3 year course at Plymouth University.)
I have been informed by staff nurses that currently it is very competetive to get be accepted for this course and that previous experience is a MUST to even be considered. :confused: :(
Please could any of you nurses point me in the right direction. I want to do as much as possible so i can get AS MUCH experience as possible.
