Congratulations! Yankton Press & Dakotan > Community > All 2009 MMC Nursing Students Pass Exam

The entire class of 2009 Mount Marty College nursing students passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

With a 100 percent pass rate, Mount Marty’s nursing graduates have surpassed the national average of 87 percent. Even more impressive is the fact that all of the Mount Marty graduates passed on their first attempt with the examination.

“We are delighted with this news and give full credit to the students themselves for their sincere approach to their studies and their desire to be a professional nurse,” said Dr. Jacqueline Kelley, RN, MPH, DNP, chair of Mount Marty’s Division of Nursing. “I also give full thanks and credit to our hard-working nursing faculty and all other Mount Marty College faculty who helped to make this happen.”

Mount Marty’s nursing students consistently achieve a high NCLEX-RN pass rate — 92 percent of last year’s graduates passed. All nursing employers require NCLEX-RN licensure as they hire graduate nurses.
