Old age ain't for sissies.......
When I was young, I can still remember that I am actually looking forward to getting old, because I thought that there are a lot of things and privileges (discounts anywhere=) you can get as, now I don’t know anymore..haha! But let’s just enjoy every milestone in our life!
I always said that I didn't care how old I got so long as I could still live as I wanted and now that I'm staring directly at 50 and realizing that I have really reached middle age, those sentiments haven't changed. I remember a doctor telling me in the office that I was (at the age of 30) approaching middle age and feeling pretty pissed off. I was then and still really quite fit. I go to the gym and smoke most of the "kids" half of my age and am considered a valuable member of the team when I participate in Tough Mudder and Spartan competitions. BTW, I have advanced spinal arthritis and have had bilateral shoulder arthroplasties. The way I look t it, I will safely do what I do until I can't any more and then I will make other choices because I do realize that I am living in the honeymoon phase which is the benefit of living well.
nice post. thanks for sharing. when I read the article I was imagining that Im 80.hehe
