Sorry to hear you're having bad days. Today the hospital was like a ghost town-no pts. ICU only had one patient and only 3 in step down.
I was so glad to finally get off work yestereday. I was stretched so thin it was dangerous to my pts and myself. I had the CA meet me and told her I can not continue working like this. She helped and had several other people help and we made it, But I still feel the situation was a danger to myself and others. I will do what I can to improve the situation but truly feel something must change. Bad hair days should not be that bad. All nurses would be bald. Good to still have everyone here. I have been missing ya. Hope for some responses sharing the good the bad and the ugly. Jump in the water is warm.

Come to think of it, most days in the ICU are pretty much bad days...They only really turn good when one of our patients gets upgraded and/or sent home alive and well.
That really makes you feel good when one of your patients starts walkin' and talkin' again
Tracy if my Brenda would start talking I would cry all the way home. Thanks for the words of encouragement.
