Finally, it's Friday! Now, to relax for 2 days. Last night was pretty rough, I'll tell ya; I am soooo glad it is over for a day or two.

Got a low census call off today and I'm ready for it. It's been a trying week at work; one of the most rewarding in a long time but the kind that drains your reserves. I was wrapping up my shift yesterday when I caught the news about Fort Hood and it just made me hurt. Our soldiers have had enough. Not too sure yet what I'm going to do today but got some unexpected sunshine so, I think I'll start by taking the dog for a walk and enjoy that.

Heard about Ft. Hood when I dragged my carcass in last night and logged onto 'puter. These idiot zealots need to be stopped, but how? They believe it puts them straight into their version of paradise.
BTW, cass, in a few hours, I'll be in Indy. Another good reason I am off for two days. I consider it a rest.
In what I've read about this, there was no indication yet anyway, that the motive was religious. He has an Islamic name but nothing more than that is known about his convictions. He was an Army Psychiatrist stationed at Walter Reed for the past six years and because of performance issues, was reassigned to Fort Hood and was scheduled to be deployed to Afghanistan. It sounde more like he'd been through too much and finally cracked. What bothers me the most about this is that I believe anyone paying attention to this guy could've seen it coming and maybe done something to prevent it.Originally Posted by cougarnurse
