Hi, I got caught as well. I chose voluntary surrender. I turned myself in as soon as it happened. I went to IOP rehab for 3 months, went to AA-90 meetings in 90 days and am currently in aftercare. I have had a good experience with the NSBN- my compliance advisor through the BON has been great-very helpful and caring. I have not been working as a nurse for 8 months but will be returning hopefully in June.will be on probation for 5 years but will have no ding on my record. Saving your license can be done, it is a drawn out process with LOTS of paperwork and meetings, counseling ect., but I am definately the better for it.
