Well, I've been working agency for 1 year this month. I work for a company (Great little agency) that only does Ga. and SC. I figured I'd see if it was for me before I jumped out a long way from home.
I'm doing OK, I get a lot of requests from clinics so I stay really busy. Too busy sometimes... About the farthest I go from hone is a few hundred miles but I'm gone more than I'm home and I've adapted to living out of a suitcase and in hotels. It's not so bad. In fact I like it. A blackberry and a GPS is about all I need...
Anyway, I've learned that walking into some place "cold" and doing my job isn't that bad so I'm ready for the next thing.
Any advise?
1st check some travel nurse websites and check the job postings to see if there are jobs for your specialty and states you want to go. Then call and speak to a recruiter and go from there. Rn network is good, Medical Solutions, CIRRUS AND CLINICAL ONE PRIVATE MESSAGE ME FOR RECRUITERS
