Hello all. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm an ICU nurse who travels as a tele nurse. I haven't traveled for 6 months and took a 4 week assn in DC for the Cerner computer charting crossover.
Let me tell you all that is the biggest calamity that I have been involved in and it's only a 4 week assignment . No one on the floor knows anything about the system, and the charge nurses can't help you or direct you to anything because they feel overwhelmed themselves. This is the biggest disaster since the war.
Nursefinder's is the onsite travel nurse agency and all the information they gavTheye us about the clocking in process to our purpose for being there has been wrong. They didn't send in my hours to be paid, and they kept calling (until I told them to stop) everyday to remind you that you were supposed to show up for work that day or night.
Stay away!!! And this is the opinion of every nurse I have come in contact with. No one wants to extend. I have met 2 travelers who are willing to, but that's b/c they have been without work for 4 months.
Enjoy your day!
