Gloves for everyone. Mask for known or suspected respiratory illness (like influenza, etc.). Gown and/or face shield when splatter is possible.
There is no way of predicting what germs you may encounter when helping a patient or what illness they will have. What precautions are you taking to protect yourself?

wash my hands properly with soap an use disinfectant between every patient and/or chour I come in contact with. We also never wear rings brecelets, earrings and necklaces. Always wear short sleeves and donīt forget this rules!!
Its the only way to extinguish all the nasty germs!
So wash wash wash and use disinfectant for your hands!!!
And of course as the person above wrote;
use disposable protection gloves and chaperon when needed.
Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know that nurses weren't allowed to wear jewelry. I never noticed that before, I never considered how many germs that rings and bracelets can hold.
I won't wear my jewelry at work, for the simple fact that i'm paranoid i'd lose it. I do pin a simple wedding band (not the original one)to the left side of my shirt.
The best way i protect myself, pretend like everyone has something.

I think it is up-to us to maintain the cleanliness and Keep ourselves free from the germs. Germ protection is a nasty business. They’re in your eyes, nose, mouth, and on your skin. They’re everywhere on your body.
