Hey everyone, im new to these forums, my names Mike and I just passed my certification about 2 weeks ago. Today I had an interview at a hospital and they invited me to a second interview. During the first interview I was told of two positions they were hiring for, and that I was a good candidate for Emergency Room, so we both agreed that would be something that interest me. I feel pretty confident in the interview based off how it went and the way the information was presented to me but im really not trying to get my hopes up (because working in a hospital, let alone Emergency Room!!! is so much more interesting to me then a nursing home). My question is, im not entirely sure of the responsibilitys of a CNA in a emergency room and I was wondering if anyone knew what a typical shift would be like? Im sure just like all you my schooling was based off nursing home care, and I know that the hospital will put me in a 2 month training period but I am just a bit nervous and would like to have an idea of what im getting myself into.

A CNA in an ER will typically take vital signs, assist patients with toileting needs, or transport stable patients to radiology or to the floors.
